Memories of Horikoshi: Chii.Yuto.Yamachan

Yuto Nakajima-

Well, for me my greatest memory will be my friends and teachers. I mean all of them are the best memories. Also, the cook in our school makes awesome Tomagoyaki. I will never taste that food again. Also, I never forget to greet our Guards in the school because I know that they’re protecting us.

Ryosuke Yamada-

In Horikoshi, I’m the kind of guy who is forgetful. I ‘m always been out of the classroom every lessons. Surprisingly I became smart while we’re having a test. Yuto always go out when I’m out of the room. He always keeps me in company. I will also miss our friends and teachers here. But we’re really grateful that we finally graduated. I always wear a mask at school. Of course I’ll my The school’s dusts.

Yuri Chinen-

I will really miss everything about Horikoshi. They helped me to have my career, my friends, and my good grades. Thank you for making me you 4th placer in this batch. I will really miss my friends that are not in HSJ. I miss the nights when me, Yama-chan, Yuto-chan, Kamiki-chan and Mirai-chan went Ghost hunting. It’s really a fun experience unfortuntely we didn’t see one.

July day – Watched [PLAYZONE]
I went to watch the joyful [PLAYZONE] and saw Yuma who I haven’t seen for a while. He seemed to be energetic and working very hard. I felt more relieved after seeing that. When I went to his resting room, Yuma said [“Yamada-kun, eat this!”] and he gave me a peach. I ate that peach straight away, it was very sweet and tasty!

August day – Summer is of course about ice-cream!
In [SUMMARY’S] rest room, we were given a lot of [Gyugyuto] ice-cream of which I did a CM for. We all ate them happily (laughs). It tasted even better than usual because we ate them after sweating a lot on stage (laughs). Eating ice-cream in summer is really the best!

August day – played about 10 hours worth of games with my little sister
2 days of breaks, it’s rare that I stay at home. I usually don’t play games, so I wonder why I broke that boundary and played for around 10 hours with my little sister (laughs). I don’t know how to explain it, but I did more watching than playing. But the truth is my shoulder gets really sore, it’s very tiring~

August day – shopping list for autumn items
That day I went shopping after SUMMARY. Sometimes there are items on promotion, so I bought some autumn clothing. It was a brown jacket with an orange-yellow shade and it had some folds. And then I also bought a cloak-styled outfit for my little sister because she wanted it. She was really excited.

August day – this summer’s hairstyle is one complete fail
I cut my hair a bit too short (laughs). In [SUMMARY] performances during summer, I’ll sweat a lot, so I wanted to reduce the amount I sweat. Otherwise once the sweat starts to come out, my fringe will become like a curtain. Although everyone has said that it looks alright perhaps there is just that tiny bit of failure, but still, it’ll grow longer again in winter.

August day – got scared by supernatural events
Some supernatural things appeared at my home, and everyone got scared. At places where there is no one you can hear walking sounds, and the rattling sound from the bin. When I was home alone, in the toilet I heard a voice shouting [OI]! And then my dogs started barking furiously. I got so scared that I didn’t come out of the toilet.

August day – eating in the middle of trying to lose weight
Although I’ve said it before, [I’m not going to eat anything after 6pm], I still went ahead and ate something straight after. Even though it lasted for a few months (the plan to lose weight), in the end I wasn’t able to stand the feeling of starvation so I ate a sandwich. I felt bad about not being able to make any new records and at the same time making a goal that I must keep on continuing the weight loss challenge!

The living room became oriental-styled
Recently, the living room at home was changed. We chose a style that looks more oriental (or more Asian, whichever one makes more sense to you). The new sofa is made of cotton materials, it really suits my taste. How will it become in the future? Let’s look forward to it.

Q: Any growth of the members recently?
Yamada: I think, Takaki-kun is really improving to dance whole-heartedly. His body is becoming more flexible, it's great.
Arioka: Yuto has changed, apart from his growth. His jokes have become more interesting! We've been together since we were young, so I'd know. He's a really interesting MC!

Q: What is the "thing" recently?
Yamada: I would say that I like bowling. Previous score was 54 (laughs). Going with friends to play apart from the score is really fun. I like the atmosphere. Recently, I like watches. Not just watches, but clocks too. [Tama - time does pass by fast xD]
Arioka: I like to lengthen baths. Even during the hot summers, I like to lengthen the time in baths. One thing I like to drink is 100% orange juice in the morning. It's becoming a healthy daily routine ne. It feels like something that's done in a foreign country!

Q: When JUMP members go to eat, what do you eat?
Arioka: I'd eat hormones! [T/N - I think it means meat...right?]
Yamada: I haven't eaten excessively (laughs).
Arioka: Eh? We have gone together?
Yamada: We have. We went to eat, it was meat.
Arioka: Can't complain about the opinion ne.
Yamada: Chinen isn't picky about the food either. Food is good in the stomach.

Q: What to eat in the summer
Yamada: Cold noodles. I ate them this morning before heading to school (laughs).
Arioka: Roasted corn.
Yamada: Do you really eat that!?
Arioka: I really eat it! Eating it gives off a feeling of summer.

Q: The "thing" you're recently concerned about is?
Arioka: Can we think about this together?
Yamada: Sure. How about the cuticles? [Tama - lol xD]

Yamada: It's the cuticles of the hand for me. I'm a bit anxious whenever I use clippers. [T/N - It's a bit abstract, because he only says about an "instrument" for the cuticles - so I assumed clippers, but it could be nail scrappers, scissors, etc]
Arioka: Really...for me it's the Nazca Lines.
Yamada: Seriously!?
Arioka: The America base is researching about extraterrestrials in "Area 51"
Yamada: What's that?
Arioka: It's the mystery of it that I like. I'm interested in the Nazca Lines. I hope that the answer is revealed in my lifetime. What about the pyramids? In one of the pyramid murals, there's something like a modern aircraft with a cat

Q: Comments for the members!
Yamada: Instead of just tanning just the arms, lets tan the entire body. Instead of just one person being a little more white, everyone should be darker!
Arioka: Are you a kid (laughs)? Last year, we played breaststroke onigokko [T/N - tag, where the 'oni' catches the other players] in the pool. My breaststroke was really bad, so I was caught easily. This year, I've mastered the breaststroke, so I feel that I can be the oni.

Rules of SUMMARY
Last year's tightrope walking got my tension, as expected, raised higher than usual, and each time, I shook Dai-chan's hand seriously tight. Then, we tell each other "okay" using eye contact, and started tightrope walking. Also, when I get hungry in the middle of the stage, I'd eat with Keito. Our speed is really fast. "Eh, Curry is a drink, right?" is natural (laughs).

Tell your failures to yourself! What is something you have to overcome?
I get tired of things quite easily. That's why I think I need to fix those traits. However, I'm properly obsessed with the Korean language. One week, I'd study hard rapidly, I don't know the meaning, but I'm now able to read. It feels like the so-called Katakana in Japanese. Also, it seems that Hikaru-kun's friend intentionally left a Korean message on Hikaru-kun's phone's answering machine, and I translate it (laughs). It translated "I don't know why, but I'm seriously apologizing" (laughs).

The ◯◯ of a member spotted. Give us one precious episode!
Recently, Chinen stopped demanding attention, and I'm a bit lonely. Before, it was anything and everything...for example, he used to demand attention from me, saying "Nee, get those chopsticks~", "Nee, half these chopsticks~". (To the voices around, saying "At that rate, if Chinen would have a girlfriend in the future, wouldn't you be envious?") Eh~, me?! ...I probably would (laughs). I might just say "You, bring your girlfriend to me! I'll interview her!" (laughs).

"Failures" (laughs). Looking at the procedure list, especially in the first part, our feet barely touch the ground (laughs). To reduce failures as much as possible, we have to practice lots before the stage!

Recent condition
Yesterday, I bought white sneakers. It's summer, I thought it'd be refreshing. Then, Keito said he wanted the same thing. Having matching [sneakers] are embarrassing (laughs). That's why I said "No way!", but he really intended on buying it. I thought, "Seriously? It's embarrassing to have matching pairs in the same group!", but Keito's size was out of stock. Keito was depressed, but for me, I felt...I was lucky (laughs).

Q1) Where is your favorite place in school?
library if good. Usually, no people, and quiet, and very relaxing. Sometimes, I with my classmates hang around there.

Im in dismissal club (lol)...(laugh) but, when I see the people from tennis club, it seems so fun and I want to try it~ I thought like that. (i see...Yamada didnt join in any club)

Im the discipline committee in our class so I need to check the discipline-ness of my classmates, and I need to discipline myself the most (laugh)

Q4) The episode with your past teacher?
When I was still in grade 5, my teacher is like the 'real Kinpachi' (try to watch 3 nen B gumi Kinpachi Sensei) and I love him. During class hours, he was joking and making fart. A very funny teacher.

Q5) Do you have any memories of spring vacation?
Before the entrance of my high school, I was very nervous. Im very shy so Its not like "I hope I'll make 100 friends" but It was "I want to make one friend" (in Japan, there is a song with the phrase "I hope I'll make 100 friends" or click here)

Q6) Your memories of the way to go to school?
I think the people who is going to school with a train knows my feeling but, the full train is very hard (or tiring). When It's summer, its very how....please me (laugh)

Yuto's fanfic: Success Music

The main character me, had a band with my high school friends but because our musicianship are different, we are in a sticky situation. One day, I was shocked by looking at Hikaru from another band performance. With the thinking of "Let's form a band together", I called out to him. But Hikaru was very cool initially, saying something like "It is not good if it is not a drum that can follow my performance." But when we did an ad lib in that place, both of us felt "What is with this group feeling!" and totally hit-off with each other. Similarly, I called out to the guitarist, Keito whom I've been looking out from the past and the 3 of us started our activities. However we were troubling over "There is no Vocal" and around that time, Yabu did the vocal. He appeared suddenly in our performance and started singing. We thought that "He's great" and started our activity as 4 in the end. We did a splendid job in the CD debut but shockingly it won't sell (laughs). (T/N:WHO WON'T BUY!? This is standard but school love story is good. The main character, me, is a student who goes to a magic school and totally don't stand out.. One day, [a trifling trouble occur in school] and I was cornered to a tight spot. But in this crisis, I managed to use some amazing magic n evaded it. As I've never thought that I will have that kind of power, I was super shocked. From there, it was the first time that I turned out to be someone special who had been granted legendary power. Which means from then on, whenever there is anything that happens in school, I will be active. Those around me also began to take notice of me. Even thou I [wasn't very well-liked] by girls in the past, there are more and more who said that they like me. [Eventually the girls have a battle over me] just that the person himself did not realize this situation (laughs). Yamada: Wristwatch, Stole
"Because a wristwatch can be worn with the uniform, so I have 8 of them. Moreover, I also like the scarf things. Girl's muffler is amazing! If the hair that comes out from it looks fluffy, it'll make me want to hug her from the back ♡"

"During my solo corner in Haru con [Hey! Say! JUMP & Yuuki 100% Spring Concert 2011] I used a cap during my solo dance, so I started to buy a baseball cap. With that (Okamoto) Keito said "it's suit you", and he gave me another one as my birthday present"

Yamada: T-Shirt
"I didn't buy anything~. I mostly wear a uniform because I have to go to school. I think what I have are plain clothes, so the most recent thing was a photo t-shirt I bought at the end of February. Now I'm also interest in a darkened pink color"

"I don't usually go shopping alone... If I go, I'll go to the local shops. However, the parka which has shiny rhinestones attached to the zipper is unique and I often wear it"

Yamada: Boots

"Recently, when I cleaned up my room, 10 of brand new sneakers came out. I planned to wear them in summer, but when it turned to Fall, I want boots! A pair of engineer boots I always wear is already become shabby, so I'm looking for the new one with the same style."

Morimoto: Belt

"I've used only 2 belts for about 2 years, so the holes are already too wide, and it becomes hard to use. Next time if I buy (a new belt), I'll buy the one with a simple buckle, and in order to be able to suit with any pants, the black one may be good. With that, I want to use it for another 2 years. (laugh)"

Q: What about your fashion model?

Yamada: People from TV or street whom I think they are fashionable

"By watching someone that I think he has a good taste, so it can be said that there's no exact style for me. Recently, I got an influence from the clothes that my favorite artist wore in the PV (promotion video). A fine white shirt with a navy blue cardigan are somewhat cool."

Morimoto: Just only my sense!!
"Because I want to decide on the clothes myself, I don't use any model! I believe in my own sense. But I still choose a lot of clothes among those my parents bought for me. (laugh)"

Q: How do you determine your clothes?

Yamada: I choose my clothes the day before.

"The reason is that I hate to be in hurry in the morning. In the evening of the day before, I often choose my clothes while watching the weather forecast. There's also the time when I think "Tomorrow, let's mix this with that." on the train home."

Morimoto: I choose the clothes according to the parka.

"Because the item I have the most is a parka, firstly I'll choose which parka I'm going to wear, then the matched bottom, and shoes... I want to choose the shirt from my mood at that time, so I spend 5 minutes choosing after I wake up!"

Yamada: Sunglasses

"Last year I bought a pair of sunglasses in New York, but I'm not brave enough to wear it in Japan, so I want to be able to walk while wearing sunglasses. I wear it a lot when I was over there. (laugh)"

"Like colorful patterned clothes from head to toe, it looks like this can make a difference among each person. But in my case, rather than mix & match the items, I think I want to go shopping by myself first. (laugh)"

Q: What are "My standard clothes"?

Yamada: Black T-Shirt + Jeans

"Body fitted t-shirt and loose denims make a good balance. In the past, I used to play soccer which made my legs quite big that I can't wear pants with thinned legs. So every pairs [of denim] I have are a loose type that can give a feeling like "Yo!" (laugh)"

Morimoto: Parka + Denim

"I like to wear big sized parka and denim. I intentionally choose a one size bigger, so I can wear them loosely. I have a lot of black and grey parkas as they are basic colors. I don't want to wear only normal jeans, but I also want to try wearing denim overalls like this too!"

The beach at night, it's the most heart throbbing place for me. Although I still like the lively beach in the daytime, but just holding the girl I like's hand, strolling down the beach and only hearing the wave sounds hitting against the sand, just doing this I'm very blessed already...♥ If the girl can take me to her homeland(T/N Homeland...as in Native land or were you used to live?), I'll be very happy ne? The old school she goes to everyday, the old park she passes by, introducing them to me while explaining her past, it feels like deep down our hearts would be closer, too. This must be the rejoicing feeling ne. But...If I meet the girl's father along the way...I'll probably panic and say, "I'll come again next time ne!!!"
