Gossip about Hey! Say! JUMP

It seems that the members go watch the fireworks together every summer. X

Chinen It’s not every year, 3 years ago, when we were doing SUMMARY, there was a fireworks show, so only about 5 of us went after it was over.

Keito If we were to hang out with all 10 of us, then a barbeque would be nice. Everyone loves meat, so wouldn’t we get hyped up?

Chinen Un. A sports competition seems fun too, ne! I want to rent a huge stadium and play soccer with the 10 of us!


It seems that they record all of the shows that they appear on and watch it.▲

Chinen For me, my parents record it for me, so I sometimes watch it.

Keito I sometimes watch the dramas that the members appear in, but it’s embarrassing watching my own stuff, so I can’t watch it. Though I watched 3nenBgumi Kinpachi Sensei.

Chinen I also watched the last 30 minutes of it. The part where all of the graduates got their name called out by Kinpachi-sensei.

Keito At that part, I hardly appear! Even though within JUMP, Chinen was the only one that kept saying “I’ll watch the drama ne”….

Chinen I didn’t watch it because I believe that Keito will appear in a drama again! I mean, if I said “I watched it because I thought this would be Keito’s last drama” you would be sad right? (lol, this kid is good with coming up with excuses >.> but don’t worry Keito, I know Ryu-tan watched it for you, cuz he loves Kageura xD)

Keito Though it seems like you would be totally fine with saying such things (laughs).


It seems that on the last day of concerts and such, when someone cries, it drags everyone along and everyone starts to cry.▲

Keito Two years ago, during our concert at Tokyo Dome, everyone cried ne. Because it’s amazing to be able to do a concert at a dome after all.

Chinen Also, last year when we finished the first day of SUMMARY too. The preparations were barely on time and we were worried whether we could do it properly, so when we finished the real thing safe and sound, we were relieved and the tears just naturally came out.


It seems that the refreshments disappear at a really fast rate. O

Chinen When there’s 10 people, it’s like a struggle for refreshments ne. The one who is fastest at taking them is Yuto-kun!

Keito When Yuto gets to the location, the first thing he does is take the snacks and drinks that he likes and put it in his bag (laughs). (lol, does he still write his name on them? xD)


It seems that the members decide on a price and give each other presents on birthdays.▲

Chinen We did on Christmas last year! Each person bought a present that was within 5000 yen, and then it was decided by lottery.

Keito I got Dai-chan’s air-freshener, and Chinen got my folding umbrella.

Chinen I’m still using it now~. For me, at that time, cell phone games were popular among JUMP, so I bought a battery that would last twice as long. Dai-chan got it, but right after that, the game boom ended ne (laughs).


Gossip about Chinen

It seems that when there are no plans, he goes home from school and sleeps at 6PM. O
Yesterday and two days ago, I came home from school at 4 and fell asleep. I can always sleep anytime and anywhere. When I was in elementary school, my mom was a gymnastics teacher, so I often went to play in the gymnasium that had a classroom, but I fell asleep standing up on a rolled up mat in the storage room.

It seems that his grades are all 5’s and he’s really smart. ▲

When I was a first year high school student, it was all fives, but lately that’s not true. Right now, I’m really bad at language arts. I think differently from other people, so even when I’m asked “State what the author is thinking”, I don’t know (laughs).

It seems that he has his own picture as his phone’s wallpaper. ▲
Until recently, it was a two-shot of me and a giant stuffed animal, but I changed it. Right now, it’s a picture of my friend who was messing around with a bunch of stickers stuck on his face. Every time I open my cell phone, I can laugh~.

It seems that he’s so good at gymnastics that he got scouted by a circus group. O
During last year’s SUMMARY, when I did the trapeze, the person who taught me said to me, “If your work here doesn’t go well, you can come to this world.” I got the hang of the trapeze right after we started practicing. It wasn’t scary, but I was often practicing away from the other members, so it was lonely.

It seems that he exchanged purikura with Arashi’s Ohno-kun and they have each other’s pictures stuck on their phone. ▲
It wasn’t a purikura, Ohno-kun stuck a sticker of my face on his phone for me. He said, “Chinen-kun’s sticker won’t get worn out. It’s headstrong ne” (laughs).

It seems that he likes Yamada-kun and buys matching clothes with him. X
Until about 2 years ago, I got hand-me-downs from Ryosuke, but we don’t have anything matching. A long time ago, Ryosuke held a sweater in his hands and went “This sweater is nice” so I said “Then I’ll buy one of a different color~” and then he said, “Then never mind”. In the end, I was the only one who bought it. It was a shock. Ah, but it’s true that I like Ryosuke <3 (YamaChii~<33)

Chinen doesn’t like curry. Even though most people like curry ne. But he said he can eat the pork curry from only a certain shop. Why?


Gossip about Keito

It seems that he actually eats a lot. ▲
Usually, I don’t eat that much. I’m fine with just one meal a day. But for some reason, when I’m with the members, they make me eat the leftovers. The other day too, when Yama-chan got tired of eating an onigiri, he put it in my mouth (laughs). (Oi! Yama-chan~~!! Stop feeding Keito your leftover food lol. And that goes for the other guys too! xD)

It seems that he’s so bad at kanji that he can’t even write his parent’s name. X
As expected, if it’s my parent’s name, then I can write it! Though I say that, almost all kanji is impossible. (Eh? But you read all those letters on radio just fine…being too modest lol.) Ah, but I can write “ringo”. (T/N: ringo=apple) I learned to remember how to write it on Hyakushiki Ou by “Kiki kiku Tomeko no muko”. (T/N: they basically broke the word for ringo “林檎” into parts, and made a sentence out of the parts. I remember that episode of Hyakushiki :D I learned how to write ringo that way too haha.) It really is a useful show! (yes it is! I’ve learned a lot xD)

He hates bugs and it seems that he calls cockroaches “Mr. G”. O
(T/N: cockroach=gokiburi in Japanese, so that’s why it’s Mr. G)
The word “gokiburi” just from the sound of it, I don’t like it. Other bugs are still fine, but only Mr. G is just impossible. Before, when I was with the members, it appeared and when I was being all frightened, Chinen came with a tissue and caught it and let it outside (laughs).

It seems that he does muscle training with Yamada and has Arioka take pictures. O
During tours, I’m often in the same room as Dai-chan, but Yama-chan comes over to play and says “Keito, let’s do muscle training!” And then the two of us do push-ups and sit-ups, and in the end, with our muscles pumped up, the Dai-chan by our side would take a picture for us!

It seems that he goes on overseas by himself many times. X
The only time I went alone was when I was in 5th grade and studied abroad in England for 5 years. Trips are more fun when you go with someone! But I have friends in the Philippines and America, so if it’s a trip on my own to see everyone, then that’s okay. (you are welcomed with open arms here, Keito xD)

It seems that he cries right away if he has a fight with a member. O
In the first place, I don’t snap at other people. That’s why when I got a role that snaps easily in Kinpachi Sensei, I thought “This person can often get this angry~” (laughs). In my case, the feeling of anger turns into tears. When I get blamed by the other person I become sad and go “Stop it~.” I’m quite a crybaby. I mean, just by saying “Stop it~” just now, I feel like crying.

Recently, it seems that his dad pointed out to him “Your sideburns are long” and when he said, “Then cut it,” he really got it cut. But I think he looks cooler right now na~.

Okamoto-kun graduates from high school
Congratulations for graduating from an international high school in June. How was your high school life?“It was really hard doing both work and going to school. Within those three years, I think I’ve done about 10 all-nighters. (laughs)” Right now, he’s in the middle of preparing to go to college. “I don’t know how other people feel, but for me, when I think about how I’ll live in the future with just the knowledge that I learned from high school, I feel uneasy. That’s why, if I get into college, I’d like to study business or marketing.” (Ganbare Keito! But heh~, what he wants to study is a bit unexpected xD)
